Reminder and Invite
This is a reminder and an invitation to the Thursday, December 3rd *LEPC Meeting. The meeting will be held at the CQ County Courtroom (on the 3rd floor) from 7 – 8 p.m... Everyone in the community is invited. You do not need to have any emergency preparedness experience to participate in this committee. The one and only requirement to join the LEPC is Chautauqua County residents willing to brain storm with their fellow community partners on ideas to help better prepare our county if a disaster happens. So please come and participate. Cookies and refreshments will be provided.
*LEPC: Local Emergency Planning Committees are planning entities. They cannot commit manpower or resources. Together, local governments, which can commit manpower and resources, and LEPC's can use their expertise to help their communities be prepared for mitigate and respond when there is a disaster. LEPC's help involve citizens in the discussion about what an appropriate emergency response is for each community, where public funds are spent, whether and how much of those funds should go for additional responder training, training of local government officials, or for purchasing response equipment.
